Email-switcher with confirmation

Wednesday, July 29th, 2009

Made a new application for the Red Bokito. The Red Bokito is checking email for every 2 minutes. By sending an email it is possible to switch ON/OFF/TOGGLE the four relays of the board. And after succesfully switching receive a confirmation email. Used 2 socket of the WIZ810MJ, socket 0 is for receiving the commands with POP (PostOffice Protocol), and on socket 1 the confirmation email is done by SMTP. Sample code can be found here: Emailswitcher

The complete stream of commands can be followed by PRINT-statements.

Top of the Field-device is the Red Bokito, with a special made bottomplate with 8 x PC817 optocoupler and a LED for the heartbeat.

Wiz200WEB-EVB

Thursday, July 9th, 2009

First small steps with the Wiznet W5300. Checking the differences between W5100 and W5300. The module used on the Wiz200WEB evaluation board has a Atmega128, 32 Kbytes external RAM, 512 Kbyte external ROM. A few nice examples on the CD, but sometimes you get a bit lost what software to use. Examples in C, using WINAVR and AVR Studio. 6 pin ISP connector on the base-board. Have made an adapter for my 10-pins Kanda programmer to the 6 pin ISP programming socket. Did a recompile of the software and a reload of the microcontroller. All working well. Uploaded a new webpage, running very well.
