Big steps…

Tuesday, April 17th, 2007

Things are going well with the Atmega128 and AD9851 DDS. PCB’s are ready. 90% of the Bascom-AVR-code is finished. We made a lookup-table, starting with frequency from 12.6 Mhz - 40.6 Mhz in steps from 500 Khz. With a single button you can ‘walk’ through this table. There are eight user defined frequencies and they can be configured also with just one button. When powered up a dynamic menu appears. It automatic scrolls through all items and when selected, it automatic scrolls through all options. The Bascom-AVR code for this menu will be our entry into the www.mcselec.com contest for the ZL8 and ZL10 development boards.

Signalgenerator with AD9851

Monday, April 9th, 2007

We have been busy, for a week, with an Atmega128 and an AD9851 DDS.

We got it working, a signalgenerator 12.6 - 40.6 Mhz in steps of 500 Khz. With a 2 x 20 LCD display, two buttons, with a very nice menu to choose the frequencies.
