Amazing music machine
Thursday, January 25th, 2007Today I have seen an amazing music machine

It is called the Acoustic Curves. Is it real mechanic or is it 3D computer-art?
Have a look (13 Mbyte).

WordPress is GREAT!! And to use Postie in combination with WordPress is also great. I have created a secret email-account and with a simple mail I can update my weblog. Including pictures. A friend of mine is running a CRON-job on his machine and every 15 minutes a check is done if there is a new post.
Any new mail?
Check http://www.nerdvilla.com for a garage sale at Fred Eady’s place.
Got a small MPG-film from Franz Achatz, the maker of the A-One Apple 1 Replica.
With a nice printer he is printing his CD’s.

Results of the Circuit Cellar 2006 Distinctive Excellence awards are online.

On top: Franz Achatz and San Bergmans with their A-One, Apple I replica.
A huge amount of information, so have to take some time to study the abstracts and entries.

Did some coding today on a Nokia LCD. 132 x 132 pixels. With the Bascom-AVR-library LCD-Epson.lbx. Got my email function for WordPress working. Can mail to my weblog, including pictures. I use Postie for this.

Well, the first AVR Ethernet I/O board with SD-card is running. And where? In New Zealand at Steve Venroys place. Check http://mws.hobby-site.com:81

It is running on a Atmega32, uIP, SD-card connected on the ISP-connector. Steve had some trouble with his ethernetconnector so he replaced it for the time beeing with another connector.
Found what the errormessages in AVR-DOS are all about. A second hardware UART. Have replaced some lines and now the code for the Atmega644 is compiling well.
Well it is finished, but not working yet. Getting some error-messages while using the ATmega644 with AVR-DOS. Had to switch from a hardware SPI to a software SPI, had to use a CONFIG CLOCK = USER in Bascom-AVR, but there are still three registers I have to work on. UBRR1H, UBRR1L and UCSR1B. Dropped a question in the AVR-DOS forum on www.mcselec.com

Work in progress… Had to find the pin-out of a SD-card. Google is your friend. MISO, SCK, MOSI, SS, 3.3 Volts and GND, that is all I need to connect a SD-card to an AVR. All these signals can be found on the AVRISP connector except for the 3.3 Volt.

I want to make a SD-Add-on that can be used on all my AVR-boards, so included a LM2937 3.3 Volt powerregulator.

and add the AVR-ISP connector and you got it all.
